New Delhi, 25 January 2021: Due to COVID19 impact, the PhD Admission process for January 2021 session is delayed.
There are four Central Universities and two National Institutes of Technology (NITs) where PhD Admission is open for January 2021.
The four Central Universities where Phd Admission is open are as followed: Central University of Punjab, Aligarh Muslim University, Sikkim University, and Tezpur University.
Among NITs, NIT Uttarakhand and NIT Nagaland have announced PhD Admission with institute fellowships. NIT Uttarakhand Announces PhD Admission with Institute Fellowships for 40 seats. The Institute will conduct Test and Interview through online.

Central University of Punjab Announces PhD Admission for 172 Seats ! Online Interview
Bathinda, 24 January 2021: Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, a Central University, has released PhD Admission Notification for Jan/Feb-2021 Intake. The total number of vacant PhD seats are 174 across 30 subjects. CUP will conduct online interview for on 08 & 09 February 2021.
PhD Admission is open for JRF, NET, GATE, GPAT, DBT-BET & JEST (Physics) Qualified Candidates only) 2020-21.

Aligarh Muslim University Announces PhD Admission 2020-21! Application Portal Opens on 27 Jan 2021
Aligarh, 25 January 2021: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), a Central University, has announced Admission to PhD Programmes 2020-21. The online application portal will be available from 27 January 2021.
AMU has released a short notice for PhD Admission 2020-21. The notification mentioned that AMU will release detailed notification very soon. Mission will be offered in various disciplines/specializations on the available vacancies as existing in the university on 31 July 2020 (after leaving one third of the total available seats).
Key Dates: The online application portal will be available from 27 January 2021. The closing date for submission of online application is 23 February 2021.
PhD & MPhil Admission Open 2020-21 (Special Drive) in Sikkim University, a Central University
Gangtok, 25 January 2021: Sikkim University, a Central University, has announced MPhil & PhD Admission 2020-21 for various subjects under Special Drive.
Interested candidates with 55% marks in Post-Graduate or equivalent grade (45% /equivalent grade for reserve category) in relevant / allied subject may apply online between 16 January 2021 to 28 January 2021 (till midnight).
Total Seats: The total number of PhD seats are 21 while the total number of MPhil seats are 17.
Tezpur University Announces PhD Admission Spring 2021 via Online Interview
Tezpur, 10 January 2021: Tezpur University, a Central University, has announced Admissions for PhD Admission Spring 2021 Semester.
