Jammu, 31 March 2024: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, a state university in Jammu and Kashmir, has announced PhD Admission for Odd Semester (Academic Session 2024-25).
Financial assistance @ Rs. 25,000/- pm + contingency is available for GATE/NET qualified candidates and also for NON-NET/NON-GATE candidates (selected through SMVDU test) as per University rules.

The last date for submission of complete Application Form is 20 April 2024.
Application fee: Rs.1500/- to be paid via online mode.

Eligibility: 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in Master’s degree in relevant discipline or inter-disciplinary/trans-disciplinary disciplines.
Selection Procedure: Selection procedure comprises of Written Examination followed by Viva Voce/Interview of the short listed candidates.
Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher-fellowship holder or have passed M/Phil program will be exempted from appearing for the Written Examination and shall be given preference for admission.
