Purulia, 03 March 2026: Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, a public state university in Purulia, West Bengal, has announced PhD Admission Course -1, 2026.
List of Departments: Anthropology & Tribal Studies, Bengali, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Santali , Sociology and Zoology.
Candidates qualified in UGC-NET/JRF/NET-LS/SET/GATE/CEED/INSPIRE/WISE and similar National Level Tests will be considered directly for interview/viva-voce.
In case of a candidate holding a qualifying degree from other University, admission for the Ph.D. programme will proceed after determination of equivalence of the qualifying degree by the relevant University body and fulfillment of the admission criteria.
