As on 27 September 2025, there are two Central Universities have announced PhD for 2025-26 Academic Year. The total number of vacant seats are expected to be more than 1,250 seats.

University of Allahabad Announces PhD Admission 2025-26 for 873 Seats
Allahabad, 25 September 2025: University of Allahabad, a Central University in Uttar Pradesh, has announced PhD Admission for 2025-26. These PhD programmes are available in the university main Campus and its 10 Constituent Colleges.
Total Vacant PhD Seats: The total number of vacant seats are 873 under 49 subjects.

Manipur University Announces PhD Admission 2025 for 36 Subjects
Imphal, 18 September 2025: Manipur University, a Central University, has announced PhD Admission for Academic Session 2025. The PhD Admission is available in 36 subjects.
