New Delhi, 05 April 2021: In India there are 32 National Institutes of Technology (NITs). These institutes enjoy Institute of National Importance (INI) tag and provide quality education at affordable cost. PhD scholars received monthly Institute Fellowships in NITs.
As on 05 April 2021, there are two NITs which have announced PhD Admission for July 2021. These include NIT Allahabad and NIT Meghalaya. Both Full Time, Part Time and Sponsored Type PhD Admission is available.

NIT Allahabad PhD Admission open for 227 seats ! Institute Fellowships Available
Allahabad, 05 April 2021: Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, a part of NIT Group of institutes and popularly known as NIT Allahabad, has released PhD Admission Notification for 2021-22 session. The PhD programmes are available in following categories: Institute Stipendiary Full Time Research Scholar; Self-financed Full- Time Research Scholar; Sponsored Full- Time Research Scholar; and Faculty/Staff/Sponsored Project Fellow of MNIT Allahabad Part-Time Research Scholar.
The total number of vacant PhD seats are 227 seats: Institute Stipendiary Full-Time Research Scholar -129; Self-financed Full-Time Research Scholar -35; Sponsored Full-Time Research Scholar -35; and Sponsored Part-Time Research Scholar.

Start of online application process – 05 April 2021
Closing date for online application process 07 May 2021 up to 5.00 PM
Last date for receipt of the printed and signed application form – 10 May 2021 up to 5.30 PM
Application fee is Rs 1200/- for OPEN and OBC-NC candidates for each programme. For SC/STcategory admission fee is Rs 600 /- for each programme.
Shillong, 05 April 2021: National institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya, a part of NIT group of Institutes, invites applications for PhD Admission July 2021. Admissions are open in the following categories: Programme starting in July 2021 (Autumn Semester 2021) under Full time, and Sponsored (Part-Time) categories.
Full Time: Scholars under this category shall work full time for the Ph.D. courses/research. They may receive fellowship offered by the Institute as per MHRD norms / other funding agencies.
