Allahabad, 24 July 2024: University of Allahabad, a Central University in Uttar Pradesh, has announced Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) 2024 for admission to PhD Programmes. These PhD programmes are available in the university main Campus and its 10 Constituent Colleges.
Total Vacant PhD Seats: 47 subjects comprising 1182 seats, out of which 764 seats are in University Departments/Centres and 418 seats in Constituent Colleges of the University of Allahabad.
The minimum qualifying marks in CRET-2024 Written Examination (Level-I) shall be 50% for applicants of Unreserved (UR) category and 45% for applicants of EWS, OBC, SC, ST and Person with Disability (PwD) category.
Regular teachers of the University of Allahabad and of any institution/Constituent Colleges maintained by it or admitted to its privileges and International Applicants/ Officers of Armed Forces are exempted from appearing at CRET Level-1 for admission to Ph.D. Programme. All other candidates, including JRF, are required to appear at CRET-2024 Level-1 for admission to the Ph.D. Programme in the concerned subjects.

The Online Registration and Form Submission will start from – 19 July 2024.
The last date of registration is – 12 August 2024.

The TEST FEES prescribed for Different Categories of Candidates for CRET-2022 are as follows:
Unreserved /OBC /EWS : Rs. 1800/-
SC / ST/ PwD : Rs. 900/-
