Mumbai, 24 October, 2019: With a sizeable portion of Indian students making Ireland a most preferred destination for higher education, Education in Ireland, a Government of Ireland brand under the authority of the Minister for Education and Skills organized education fairs in across five cities in India starting with Bangalore and proceeding with Chennai, Coimbatore, Pune and finally Mumbai.

These fairs witnessed more than 3000 visitors pan India and served as a great opportunity for students & parents to connect with representatives of leading 20 Irish higher education institutions and discuss their queries related to admissions, programmes available, intakes, offer acceptance, campus life, international student support, and more.

Mr. Barry O’Driscoll, Senior Education Adviser, Education in Ireland said, “Education in Ireland conducts these fairs as an orientation programmes for keen students, with 20 Irish institutes available under one roof students & parents got the chance to meet with experts across divisions in the education sector and provided a boarder purview of the education system and career latitude in Ireland”

A key advantage of studying in Ireland is that students can avail of up to two years ‘stay-back’ option after completing their course, at postgraduate level. This guarantees students the opportunity to remain in Ireland for a period of one year to seek employment in dynamic sectors such as ICT, biopharma, engineering, medical devices, food science and financial services. The possibility of gaining valuable post-study work experience, makes Ireland a very compelling option for the Indian students.
