Bangalore: The British Prime Minister Theresa May, who is India now to strengthen bilateral trade, visited the Stonehill Government School, the school which was adopted by the Stonehill International School (an education initiative of the Embassy Group) in 2012 with the intention of providing varied assistance to the school. The highlight of the visit was an interactive session with students from Stonehill government and International school.

 Embassy Group, India’s leading real estate developer who has been instrumental in providing the infrastructure at the Stonehill Government School, hosted the British Prime Minister Theresa May along with the British Deputy High Commission and Andy Green, the British Royal Air Force fighter pilot and World Land Speed Record holder.

 Speaking about the event Jitu Virwani, Chairman and Managing Director Embassy Group said, “It was a great pleasure to host The British Prime Minister and the British High Commissioner at the school today. We are committed to extend more support to schools and work closely with the authorities to improve the quality of infrastructure and education system for the underserved children of our state.”

Mr. Andy Green presented an interactive session with material projection for students of the Stonehill Government and Stonehill International School. His workshop session was to motivate and encourage young people, especially girls, to pursue careers in STEM fields–science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The interactive session was followed by a flypast at 300 feet by the Indian Air Force involving three planes in a V formation, followed by a single fighter jet, followed by an aerial helicopter display over the school premises.

 Embassy Group has committed itself to providing better facilities and infrastructure to government schools in order to improve the condition and quality of education that is provided at a government school. Embassy Group has already adopted various schools in and around Bangalore and Stonehill Government School is one of them. It provides the school with additional staff, maintenance, Infrastructure, stationary, uniforms, technology infrastructure and interactive events that help these young minds. The Stonehill Government School was completely rebuilt after adoption and was provided with world class infrastructure.
