Indore: The i5 Summit, a two-day entrepreneurial carnival organized by the students of Indian Institute Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, concluded successfully at IIM Indore Campus. The event intended to support young entrepreneurs by connecting them with investors and mentors to promote their ideas and give a proper shape. The i5 Summit hosted cross-sector panel discussions, speaker series, workshops and networking meets, which attracted the best minds, marquee investors and dignitaries across the country. The event was held on 20 and 21 August 2016.

India’s first IIT – IIM entrepreneurial extravaganza planned different theme based events, which are as followed: Get Funded, Panel Discussions, TATA i5, Chai Pe Charcha, Panel Discussions, Workshops and Business Competitions, Startup Expo, Startup  Accelerator India, and Keynote Speeches. Get Funded was the most coveted show  among these activities. Under this flagship event, the best teams from all over the country pitched themselves and their ideas to VCs and industry stalwarts. Best 15 teams got the opportunity to make it to the finals and took their ideas to the next level.

The key speakers who have joined the event are as followed: Mohandas Pai, Ex CFO-Infosys, Chairman-manipal Group; GV Ravishankar, Managing Partner, Sequoia Capital; Bibop Gresta, Coo, Hyperloop; Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman, Bank of Baroda; Nikhil Agarwal, Ceo, Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society; Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-founder, Infosys; Ronnie Screwvala, Founder, UTV/Swades/Unilazer; Kunal Shah, Co-Founder, Freecharge; and Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & Ceo, Oyo Rooms.

In the TATA i5, a Social Venture plan competition, entrepreneurial ideas and ventures related to positive social change participated. The TATA Trusts committed INR 2lacs to make the best social startup a success.

The i5 Summit provided exciting space for exchanging ideas, collaborating and networking, where participants were able to both learn from industry experts and explore solutions with potential partners.
