New Delhi: In the interest of candidates for research scholars, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has decided to re-open/extend the date for submission of online application form for Joint CSIR-UGC test for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility For Lectureship (NET).
As per the latest notification appeared in an national daily, the revised/ extended date of close for deposit of fee (for all stations) is 6 October 2016 while date of submission of online application (for all stations) is 07 October 2016 (Friday). After the revised schedule, now last date of receipt of duly completed hard copy of online application (all stations) stands on 14 October 2016.
The revised schedule is as follows:
Date of start of fee deposit (all stations): 03 .10. 2016
Date of submission of online application (all stations): 03.10.2016
Date of close of deposit of fee (all stations): 6.10.2016
Date of close of on-line submission of Application: 07.10.2016
Last date of receipt of duly completed hard copy of online application (all stations): 14.10.2016
This exam is scheduled on 18 December 2016 (Sunday) on all India basis. The notification has clearly mentioned that no further extension will be given under any circumstances.
Here, it can be mentioned that the Council of Scientific and Industrial Relation (CSIR) will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test on 18 December 2016 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology. The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university/ national laboratory/ institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.
