Pune: Bank of Maharashtra, one of the leading public sector banks, has 1,896 branches in 29 states. The total business of the bank is Rs 2,50,000 cr. The bank is on recruitment drive now as it has released job advertisements for 1,315 posts for various officers and clerks under multiple positions.

The various positions and no of posts under general officers category are as followed: Senior Manager- MMGS III (100 posts); Manager MMGS –II (200 posts), Probationary Officers JMGS –I (500 posts), Manager-MMGS II (15 posts).  The various positions and no of posts under clerk category are as followed: Law graduates (100 posts), Agriculture Graduates (200 posts) and probationary clerks (200 posts). Out of these positions, Probationary Officers JMGS –I (500 posts) will be recruited after completion of one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance course while probationary clerks (200) will be recruited on completion of six months certification course.

Eligible candidates have to apply online for these positions. The receipt of online applications starts from 12 August 2016 (Friday) and closes on 6 September 2016 (Tuesday).

As per the job notification issued by Bank of Maharashtra, the candidates who are interested for applying Probationary Officers (POs) need to have completed graduation in any disciple from a recognized university. As on 01 July 2016, minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age should be 28 years. The relaxation of upper age is available as per government of India law.

The selected candidates after two-stage tests (online written test and personal interview and/or GD) will be admitted into the training institute for undergoing required one year training programme including three months of internship. After successful completion of the training programme, the candidates will be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance from the Institute. Only those candidates who complete the training successfully shall be handed over appointment letters from the bank as  Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade /Scale -I.
