Mumbai/New Delhi: The submission of online application for GATE 2017 has already opened from September 1, 2016 (Thursday). The last date for submission of online application through website is October 4, 2016 (Tuesday) while last date for request for change in the choice of examination city via GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) login is November 16, 2016 (Wednesday). Admissions to postgraduate programs (Master’s and Ph.D.) with MHRD and other Government Scholarships/Assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science are open to those who qualify in GATE. The GATE score is also used by some organizations, especially Central Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for their recruitment.
Now, Central PSUs Power Grid Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited have notified to hire Graduate Engineers in specific streams/disciplines through GATE 2017. Hence, interested candidates are required to appear in GATE 2017 in their respective disciplines. Power Grid: Power Grid, India’s Central Transmission Utility, invites Engineering Graduates in the following disciplines: Electrical, Electronics, Civil, and Computer Science for its Executive Trainees in ET -22 Batch. As per the notification the company informed that the desirous candidates should have a valid score in GATE-2017 examination in the relevant discipline: Electrical (EE), Electronics & Communication (EC), Civil (CE), and Computer Science and Engineering (CS) to be eligible for next stages of selection.

As per the Job Advertisement issued by BHEL, GATE marks (out of 100) will be used for short listing of candidates for interviews.
