Hyderabad:  SAP Labs India and the Indian School of Business (ISB) recently entered into a collaboration to nurture startups in the social enterprise space with relevance to national priorities. Jumpstart Social Enterprise (JSE) will identify five startups in the social enterprise space to provide training, mentorship and access to networks to speed up the ventures to a sustainable scale. JSE now invites applications from founders of social ventures that offer solutions with a sustainable business model and can make a difference to the lives of masses.

The ventures working for better education, preservation of arts and culture, improved health-care systems, civic engagement / public service, rural development & environmental sustainability, financial inclusion, economic development & poverty alleviation and such issues in the social sector can apply for this startup programme. The deadline for submission of application is 20 September 2016 and announcement of short listed ventures is 7 October 2016.

As per the programme structure, the four-month fixed-term mentor-driven programme will provide the startups access to business and academic mentors, and subject experts through the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at ISB and SAP Labs. ISB-SAP JSE will help the social ventures with working closely with the entrepreneurs to make your ventures scalable and sustainable.

The ISB SAP JSE Programme would identify five high potential social enterprises on the basis of the following criteria: Team and Organisational Structure, Innovation, Social Impact, Scalability, and Early Stage Operations. The program will provide mentorship opportunities from seasoned entrepreneurs, funders and investors, researchers and academicians, NGOs and other thought leaders working in the area of interest for the participating start-ups.
