Mumbai:  Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore is crowned as the top business school in India while IIM Ahmedabad grabs second place, as per Paris-based Eduniversal’s newly released Business Schools Rankings 2016. Eduniversal has conferred  both institutes (IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad) as  5 Palmes of Excellence award.  The most significant achievement in the global rankings is that for the eighth year in a row, in 2016, Eduniversal, Paris has ranked IIM Bangalore as the top business school in Central Asia.

IIM Calcutta finds third place while Indian School of Business (ISB) stands at fourth place in the Rankings for India. IIT Bombay-Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management  secures fifth position whereas IIM Lucknow find sixth place. Management Development Institute (MDI) and IIT Delhi-Department of Management Studies finds seventh and eighth place, respectively. Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur stands at  ninth position. All these institutes (from 3rd to 9th rank) are placed in the 4 Palmes of Excellence category (Rankings Band) by  Eduniversal B-School Rankings.

IIM Indore is ranked at the tenth among Business Schools in India. SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (11 rank), IIM Kozhikode (12), University of Delhi Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) (13), Xavier Institute Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME) (14), and Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB) – Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) (15 rank) are in the 11-15 rankings band.

Professor Sourav Mukherji, Dean (Programmes), IIM Bangalore, received the prestigious award in Perth, Australia, on November 28, 2016, during the ongoing 9th Eduniversal World Convention, which is an event for the best 1,000 B-schools worldwide, being held from November 27 to December 1, 2016 at Curtin Business School, Curtin University. Stating that this award is another feather in the cap for IIM Bangalore, Prof. Mukherji observed, “IIM Bangalore’s efforts in strengthening research and teaching have paid handsome dividends by enhancing our international reputation.”

The newly released Global Rankings for 2016 of Eduniversal choose from the selection of 1,000 Best Business Schools in 154 countries.
