New Delhi:  On occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Union Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (I/C) Mr Rajiv Pratap Rudy flagged off Skillathon, a marathon run to raise awareness about importance of skills and to celebrate Skill India mission’s its first anniversary.  Skillathon 2016 begins with Ganesh Vandana.

Mr Rajiv Pratap Rudy will host a live Q&A on Facebook this Saturday (16 July, 2016) at 8:30 PM.

The President Mr Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the first edition of India Skills Competition today evening and also the government of India’s Skill India mission celebrates its first anniversary on the occasion.  The shortlisted candidates from India Skills Competition will qualify for the final selection for WorldSkills International Competition at Abu Dhabi, 2017. The mega skills competition organized by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) will conclude with a closing ceremony on 17th July, 2016. All the regional participants have reached the venue to showcase their skills.
