By Rudra Narayan Sahoo, Mumbai: Yes Bank, the country’s fifth largest private bank, has launched YES BANK Transformation Series, India’s largest B-school case study contest. The fifth edition of the contest has come back with a bang with four different live challenges after a grand success last year.
This time the competition is stiffer and the challenges are tougher where B-School students can win Rs 10 lakh worth prizes. This year Yes Bank has introduced four different live challenges in association with the bank’s case partners: TAISYS – Taking mobile banking to ‘non-smart’ phones; T-Hub – Create the startup ecosystem for the future; Zaggle – Prepaid instruments; Ezetap – Creating a cashless ecosystem through a Unified Payment Interface. Hence, participants will get to work on one of the four themes designed by Yes Bank’s four partners: Frugal Innovations, e-payments, Catalyzing Startups, cashless transaction.
The overall theme of the case study contest this year is ‘Creating impact through Disruptive Innovation’. The finalists get to present their solutions to a jury comprising captains of the Industry, thought leaders, academicians, leading journalists and emerging entrepreneurs from across the world.
The contest is now open since 26 July 2016 and the last date for submission of Case Solutions is 21 August 2016. Campus Rounds will be held during 1 September – 24 September 2016. Grand finale will be held on 4 November 2016. As per the bank statement, each member of the team must be a full-time student with a recognised university and students can form a team of upto three members where all members of the team must be from the same university.
Last year 16, 100 teams top B-schools across the country participated in the contest. At the finale, the team from ISB Hyderabad knocked out IIM Trichy and MDI Gurgaon to bag the champion’s crown.
