Mumbai: Admission to doctoral programmes for the session January 2017 and academic year 2017-18 has kick started. Some universities and institutes have started their process while PhD aspirants are closing watching the admission notifications. The most surprise development in the PhD admission process is the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) admission for 2018-19 as it has already commenced.
As of now there are more than 16 universities where PhD admission is open. Among them the prominent institutes are as followed: IISER Mohali, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, Xavier University Bhubaneswar and others.
