Mumbai: The results of Joint CSIR-NET June 2017 have been declared on 30 November 2017. The December 2017 CSIR-NET exam will be held on 17 December 2017 (Sunday). The candidates who have applied for Dec 2017 test are giving final touches to their exam preparation.

The Cut-Off percentage of the test gives an idea how to track the test. The Cut-Off % of June 2017 Exam (JRF) for Unreserved Category candidates for the five subjects are as followed: Chemical Science -55.50%;  Earth Science -53.72% ; Life Science -55% ; Mathematical Science -50.38% ; Physical Science -40.63%. On the other hand, the Cut-Off % of June 2017 Exam (Lectureship) for Unreserved Category candidates for the five subjects are as followed: Chemical Science -49.95%;  Earth Science -48.35% ; Life Science -49.50% ; Mathematical Science -45.34% ; Physical Science -36.57%.

There is no separate cut-off for Part A, B & C of each subject papers. The cumulative marks of all parts are taken into consideration for drawing of merit list. The merit list is prepared for each categories: Unreserved, OBC, SC, ST and PwD.

A total number of 1,858 candidates have qualified for JRF (NET).  A total number of 1500 candidates have qualified both JRF-NET and Lecturership-NET. These candidates are also eligible for Lecturership-NET subject to their fulfilling criteria for lecturership as laid down by UGC .

Meanwhile, a total number of 3,597 candidates have qualified the eligibility test for Lecturership-NET. The candidates qualifying for Lecturership-NET will be eligible for recruitment as lecturer as well as for JRF-Ship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable as per the eligibility criteria of that Scheme/Project. However, they will not be eligible for regular JRF-NET.
