Surathkal: National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, has released recruitment notification for appointing faculty positions. These positions are available at Associate Professor and Professor levels for its 14 departments. The total number of vacant positions are 92: Associate Professor 87; and Professor 05 posts.
Key Date & Application Fees: The eligible candidates should apply online and take the print out of filled application with relevant documents and send to NIT Karnataka by 11 December 2017 (5:00 PM). The application fee is Rs. 500 /- (Rs. Five hundred Only) for General and OBC category – Rs. 500 /- (Rs. Five hundred Only) and applicants belonging to SC/ST category is Rs. 250/- (Rs. Two Hundred Fifty only).
Eligibility Conditions: Qualification and other terms and conditions as per the Recruitment Rules published in the Ministry of HRD (Dept. of Higher Education) Notification dated 21st July, 2017 as appeared in Gazette of India, EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (i) dated 24th July, 2017 and the Recommendations of Anomaly Committee issued vide MHRD Letter No. F.No.33-9/2011–TS. Ill dated 6th October, 2017.
Associate Professor: Education – PhD; Experience – Six years after PhD of which at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000/-; Or Nine years total working experience, of which three years should be after Ph.D., with at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000/-. Cumulative Credit Points – 50.
Professor: Education – PhD; Experience – Ten years after PhD or thirteen years total working experience, out of which seven years should be after PhD. At least three years at the level of Associate professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.9500 or four years at the level of Associate Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.9000 or combination of Rs.9000 and Rs.9500 or equivalent in an Institution of repute or Research & Development lab or relevant industry. Cumulative Credit Points – 80.
