Allahabad: University of Allahabad, a central university based in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, is on massive recruitment as the university has notified recruitment advertisement for hiring 517 teaching post. The eligible candidates for Faculty Recruitment of Professor, Associate Professor and Asst. Professor post in Various University Departments / Centres of the university should apply online. The last date for submission of applications is 12 May 2017.
The total number of vacancies is 517 including 67 for professors, 147 for Associate Professors and 303 Assistant Professors. The application fee for UR & OBC candidates is Rs 1,000/- while the application fee is Rs 400/- for SC/ST candidates.
Eligibility Conditions: University of Allahabad informed that the hiring of teaching staff will based on UGC Regulations 2010 and UGC (4th Amendment) Regulations 2016.
How to Apply: As per the Recruitment Notification released by the university, the duly filled application form complete in all respect alongwith relevant documents and proof of fee submission must reach to “The Registrar, Senate House Campus, University of Allahabad, Allahabad, UP 211002, INDIA” preferably through speed post/registered post on/before 12/05/2017.
It is mandatory to also submit the soft copy (in word and excel format) of the completed application form to the email address: [email protected]. The enclosures are not required to be sent through email.
The ‘Name of the Post Applying For:’ must be clearly mentioned on the envelope containing the application and in the ‘Subject’ of the email.
The transaction ID of fee deposition should be clearly mentioned in the soft copy as well as hard copy of the application.
The vacancies exist in all departments and centres of the university. The Ancient History, Culture and Archeology department has 27 vacancies including 11 each for Associate Professor and Asst. Professor posts and 5 for Professor position. There are 34 posts available for Chemistry discipline with 26 for Asst. Professor and 8 for Associate Professor. Electronics and Communication / Computer Science has 33 vacancies with 19 for Asst. Professor, 10 for Associate Professor and 4 for Professor.
The commerce and business administration has vacancies of 17 posts: 8 for Asst. Professor, 6 for Associate Professor and 3 for Professor. English and Modern European Languages has a total vacancies of 27: 14 for Asst. Professor , 11 for Associate Professor, and 2 for Professor. Hindi and Modern Indian Languages department will hire a total number of 36 teaching posts : 24 for Asst. Professor, 9 for Associate Professor, and 3 for Professor. The Physics department has a total vacancies of 30: 19 for Asst. Professor , 8 for Associate Professor, and 3 for Professor.
