Naya Raipur: Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR) invites application for admissions to PhD Programs (CSE and ECE) under various branches for commencing in Spring Semester 2018-19.
The disciplines in which PhD applications have been invited are – Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Physics, Mathematics, English, and Management.
Key Dates: Date of receipt of completed Applications by Email is 30 November 2018. Date of receipt of hard copy of the completed Applications with attachments is 05 December 2018. Announcement of Results is 08 January 2019.
Eligibility Conditions:
The minimum educational qualification for admission to the PhD program of the Institute is
a Master’s degree with a consistently good academic record in relevant discipline.
The candidate should have first division or equivalent in both Bachelor and Master level degree.
Candidates applying under Institute Scholar category should be GATE qualified.
Candidates applying under JRF/SRF category should have qualified GATE/UGC/CSIR NET/
DST/INSPIRE/DBT/NBHM or any other examination by recognized funding agency. Such
candidates shall not be entitled for any type of Institute Assistantship.
Candidate in Sponsored (Full-time) and Part-time categories must be a regular employee of
the sponsoring organization with at least two years of professional experience in the
respective field.
A candidate coming from government or reputed industry with at least 10 years of experience
from any Government organization or established Industrial Research and Development
organization with first division or equivalent in Bachelor degree may be considered in Part
time sponsored category.
Candidates in Self-financed category should have at least two years of professional
experience in the respective field. The applicant should have qualified a national level exam
(NET/GATE/etc).
The equivalence of Master degree and discipline in case of foreign degrees of foreign
nationals/NRIs will be established by the PhD admission committee.
