Gandhinagar: Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Vadodara, an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of HRD, has released PhD Admission Notification for 2018-19 Winter Session.
Key Date: The closing date for receipt of online application is 10 December 2018.
Applications are invited for admission to PhD Programme (Winter 2018-2019) in the following specialization areas:
Machine Learning Application to Wireless Communications
Signal Processing, Information Retrieval
Computer Vision, Image Analysis
Information security, Privacy in Distributed Cloud
Algebra; Statistics Inference
VLSI Designs, Embedded System, Nanoelectronics
Eligibility Conditions:
A candidate should have consistently good academic records:
Engineering
First class in M.Tech./ME in CS/IT/ECE or related areas, OR
First class in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics/Computer Science and related areas, OR
Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.
Sciences
M.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science and related area, OR
M.Tech. Material Science/Nano-Technology/Applied Optics/Engineering Physics/Scientific Computing,
OR
Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.
The candidates appearing for the final semester/year examinations of the qualifying degree in 2018 may also apply to the respective programs. The admission is subject to the condition that, if admitted, they should submit a provisional degree certificate or any other proof of completion of requirements for the award of the degree.
Fellowship: Teaching/Research Assistantship of INR 20,000 (per month) upgraded to INR 25,000 (per month) after clearing the comprehensive examination.
Students with CSIR JRF qualified may avail the scholarship.
