New Delhi: International Accrediting Authority (IAA) launches its first edition of the IAA Education Awards and Summit in Delhi on 09 December 2017 at the Leela Palace Delhi with Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh as the Celebrity Chief Guest. This first edition of the awards will be on invitation only basis for the institutions and individuals of schools, colleges, universities and ancillary education institutions like coaching, computer training, robotics, publishers and others.

IAA is the premier global accrediting authority based out of Seattle in the USA and is for the first time venturing into India. The India Coordination of this Summit is being done by Dr. Jawahar Surisetti, an eminent educationist, and psychologist. The IAA Awards and Summit invites are already being sent to the selected invitees. The initial screening of the awardees is being done through the digital resources and the online application process.

IAA is known across the world for its quality standards in accreditation. The awardee institutions after the process scrutiny will be awarded the candidacy accreditation which is the first stage of quality assurance. In this unique scheme, it’s not just rewarding the participating institutions as is customary, but also certifying them for quality assurance. The stringent quality standard of IAA put the whole award system into a different level and differentiates this show from the others.

The Summit will have panel discussions from the who’s who of the school and higher education segment on topics that are relevant in today’s context. The audience would comprise of the best education leaders of the country. The telecast of this prestigious awards show will be shown on ABP News channel. Also, a coffee table book featuring the top awardees will be released at a later date. The CEO of IAA, James Stewart, announced that this award show would mark the beginning of the stint of International Accrediting Authority in the Asia-Pacific region. Stewart said that there is a significant potential in this region for expansion and in the next decade IAA would focus on the Indian sub-continent.
