Bengaluru: A four-member team of Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) students, from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, has emerged as the winner at IIM Lucknow’s entrepreneurship summit ‘Ventura’. The team from IIM Bangalore beat 165 participating teams from 36 B-schools including IIMs, IITs and ISB, to win the finals of the competition, held from 27 to 29 January 2017.

The students of the wining team are as followed: Abhinav Gupta, Bhartendu Vimal, Kumar Parimal and Anshul Arora. Ventura is a national-level Business-Plan challenge organized by IIM Lucknow. The competition, which continued over the last two months, covered the initial days of independent research by participating teams from 36 of India’s well known B-schools, to being part of eight shortlisted teams for the final presentation at IIM Lucknow’s E-Cell.

The summit saw ingenious ideas presented to the VC fraternity, comprising eminent leaders such as Prerak Mehta (Syndicate Partner at White Unicorn Ventures), Rohit Koshy (Investor @ Baxi), Rishabh Golchha (VC at Inc42) and faculty members. The panel awarded the winner’s trophy and certificates to the IIM Bangalore team. The VCs also invited the students for further mentoring sessions and discussions for investment relating to their start-up idea.
