Jaipur: Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), one of the universities of Manipal Education Group, has invited applications for admission into PhD courses for various disciplines of Engineering, Sciences, Management, Commerce, Humanities and Social Sciences. The last date for receipt of application form is 12 December 2016. The PhD written test will be held on 17 December 2016 (Saturday).

Manipal University Jaipur is a private university based in Jaipur Rajasthan. It is the fifth University established under Manipal Group. As per the PhD admission brochure the various subjects available for admission is as followed:  Under School of Arts & Law – Law, Philosophy, Psychology, Economics, English Journalism & Mass Communication, Physical Education, Hindi Language; School of Commerce- Commerce; Faculty of Engineering- School of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSE); Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE); Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE); Mechanical Engineering; Mechatronics Engineering; Civil Engg; and Chemical Engineering; School of Science- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, and Bio-Sciences ; School of Architecture – Architecture  & Design, and Fashion, Textiles & Clothing; TAPMI School of Management- Management.

Eligibility: As per the PhD admission notification uploaded on the official website of MUJ, candidates who have qualified for Master’s degree from any University recognized by UGC, with not less than 55% marks, or a CGPA of 5.5 and above in the 10 point scale, are eligible to register for Ph.D. in MUJ.  SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), differently abled candidates are eligible for 5% exemption from the prescribed minimum marks. Candidate appearing in qualifying PG examination 2016 are also eligible.

Selection: The PhD admission selection will be based on both written test and interview. Every candidate must clear Entrance Test with qualifying marks as 50%. Candidates who clear the written test will be eligible for interview. In interview round the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before interview board.

Teaching Assistantships: The University said that a few Teaching Assistantships of Rs. 15,000/- per month will be made available based on requirement.

How to Apply:  The PhD admission notification informed that candidates should download the Ph.D. Application form from the Manipal University Jaipur website (http://www.jaipur.manipal.edu/). The filled in Application Form, along with the prescribed documents and demand draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of Manipal University Jaipur, payable at Jaipur should be sent to the Coordinator Ph.D. Programme of Manipal University Jaipur latest by December 12, 2016. (Monday).
