Recruitment of 324 Bank POs by Indian Bank via PGDBF course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking

Mumbai: Indian Bank, a premier PSU bank in India, has invited application from eligible graduates for admission to the one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB), which has been set up jointly by Indian Bank and Manipal Global Education Service Pvt. The last date for submission of online application is 22 December 2016.

As per the recruitment plan of the Bank, candidates will be selected through a selection process consisting of online Exam (Preliminary & Main Examination) followed by Personal Interview. Admission to PGDBF at Manipal Global Education Services, Bangalore (MaGE) comes with the assurance of a full-fledged Banking career with Indian Bank as a Probationary Officer (PO) on successful completion of the course. Total number of Bank PO posts is 324 under this recruitment plan.


Eligibility: As on 01.07.2016, candidates should hold a degree in Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification as such recognized by Central Government.  As on 01.07.2016), minimum age of candidate should be 20 years while maximum 30 years. Hence, a candidate who is applying for the post he must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1986 and not later than 01.07.1996 (both dates inclusive). Upper age relaxation is available as per the government rules. How to apply:  As per the recruitment notification, applications have to be submitted online from 06.12.2016 and not later than 22.12.2016. No other mode of application will be accepted other than online applications.

Course fee structure and educational loan facility: The fees for the course will be Rs.3,50,000 plus service taxes(all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc.), as applicable, payable to Manipal Global Education Services. Indian Bank has informed that the bank will extend its Educational Loan facility to all the selected candidates on the terms and conditions as applicable to Educational Loan Scheme of the Bank.

Final placement: As per the recruitment scheme, all the candidates who complete the PGDBF course will be awarded the Diploma.  Further, they will be eligible for appointment in JMG I as Probationary officers in Indian Bank. They will be fixed in starting pay scale as applicable to JMG I Officer.
