Mumbai/New Delhi: GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website has already opened for enrollment, application filling, application submission from September 1, 2016 (Thursday). Admissions to postgraduate programs (Master’s and Ph.D.) with MHRD and other Government Scholarships/Assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science are open to those who qualify in GATE. The GATE score is also used by some organizations, especially Central Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for their recruitment (young engineers).
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), and Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) have notified recruitment plans for hiring young engineers in specific streams/disciplines through GATE 2017. Interested candidates are required to appear in GATE 2017 in their respective disciplines. HPCL: HPCL, a Government of India enterprise operating in Oil & Gas sector, invited applications from engineers in the following disciplines: Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Electronics & Telecommunications. The graduate engineers from the relevant disciplines, desirous of taking up a career with Hindustan Petroleum are required to appear in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017.
The recruitment notification mentioned that on the basis of valid GATE 2017 marks, qualified candidates will be called for further selection process in a predetermined ratio in order of the category-wise discipline- wise merit list. Only GATE-2017 marks will be valid for this recruitment drive.
Commencement of online application by candidates for HPCL: 10 January 2017
Last date of online application by candidates for HPCL is 10 February 2017
Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology in the above mentioned disciplines. All the qualifications should be 4 years full time regular course/s from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University.

BPCL: BPCL, a Navratna PSU of Government of India, is looking for recruit engineering graduates in the following disciplines through GATE 2017: Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The online applications submission of the said posts will commence from 6 January 2016 and will close on 10 February 2016.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL): Mazagon, a premier warshipbuilding oroganisation and central PSU, seeks job applications from young engineers in the following disciplines: Mechanical and Electrical. As per the notification, candidates interested in joining MDL as Executive Trainees are required to appear for GATE 2017. GATE 2017 score (out of 100) will be used for short-listing of candidates for Personnel Interview.
