New Delhi: All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited online proposals from AICTE approved institutes for disbursement of Post-Graduate scholarship through Direct Benefit Transfer for the 1st year students admitted in the academic year 2016-17 having qualifying marks with valid GATE/GPAT score in ME/M.Tech/M.Pharma programmes.
GATE candidates admitted in engineering and architecture programme and GPAT candidates admitted in pharmacy programme are only eligible for GATE/GPAT scholarship. Candidates admitted for part time courses are not eligible for this scholarship. As per the official advertisement, admissions before or after GATE/GPAT validity shall not be considered for this scholarship.
As per PG (GATE/GPAT) scholarship norms, scholarship will be disbursed for a maximum period of 24 month or till completion of courses/date of submission of thesis whichever is earlier. The mode of payment for this scholarship is Direct Benefit Transfer, means the scholarship money will be directly transferred to the eligible candidate’s bank account.
As per the issued AICTE statement, the institutes shall complete the procedure of student data verification and approval for the eligibility for the receipt of scholarship on or before 15 September 2016 (Thursday).
