Bangalore: KCET 2019 – Karnataka Examining Authority (KEA) will be conducting its annual Karnataka Common E ntrance Test (KCET) for the academic admissions of 2019, and thousands of students show their interest in applying for this state level engineering entrance exam. The most sought-after engineering entrance in Karnataka offers students a threshold to various colleges/institutes located in the state of Karnataka for several engineering and B Tech programmes.
For the 2019 session, candidates can expect the admission proceedings to begin by first week of February 2019. Registrations can be done till around the third week of March 2019. It will be followed by the release of Admit Cards in April. The KCET 2019 Examination is scheduled to take place during the third week of April 2019.
An essential aspect of appearing in any exam is to be aware of the complete schedule beforehand so as to avoid confusion. Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2019) Registration will begin from the first week of February. The last date to fill KCET 2019 application form is third week of March. Download admit cards during first two week of April. The KCET 2019 Exam will be held in two phases, i.e. Mathematics (paper I) and Physics & Chemistry (paper II). Both these exams will be held, tentatively, during the third week of April 2019. Expect KCET Results to be held in the month of June, the remaining admission process will be steered from June through August 2019.
It is to be noted that before starting with the registration part, KCET aspirants must make sure that they are qualified/eligible to do so. The eligibility criterion of KCET includes age factor, nationality, and qualifying exam, minimum percentage secured in qualifying examination, and subjects attended. The general guidelines are that candidates must be a citizen of India; should possess domicile certificate of Karnataka; should have passed 12th standard from government recognized Board of Karnataka with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry or Biology/Biotechnology or Electronics/Computer; minimum qualifying marks would be 45% aggregate.
Registration process involves creating a user ID from the official website of Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). After creating a login ID, fill in all the personal and academic credentials. The information to be entered in must be in sync with the candidate’s official documents. After entering in the details, candidates should upload relevant documents such as recent passport size photograph, scanned signature/left thumb impression, and academic mark sheets. Finally, candidates are required to make the registration payment either online via Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking or offline via Bank Challan. Application fee ranges from INR 650 to INR 750 depending on what category the candidate is from. Once all the process is done, applicants must make sure that the application is error free and ready to be submitted.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is an offline mode examination in which candidates will have to attempt 180 multiple choice objective type questions. The attempt should be completed in or less than 80 minutes. There will be 60 questions from each section, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each correct answer will comprise 1 mark, and there will be no negative marking.
