Chennai: NASSCOM has announced the annual rankings of Top 20 IT-BPM employers in India for fiscal year 2015. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS), the country’s largest IT company by revenue, is the largest employer where as Cognizant Technology Solutions India stood at second position. The employee strength in Infosys is the third largest while Wipro was the fourth largest employer in India.
NASSCOM in its “Technology Shifts and Workforce Priorities” report estimates that the Indian IT – BPM industry currently employs 3.7 million employees, the largest private sector employee. The other top ten employers in the IT –BPM sector are given below: HCL Technologies Ltd (5), Tech Mahindra Limited (6), Capgemini India Pvt Ltd (7), Genpact Ltd (8), Serco Global Services* (9), and Aegis Ltd (10).
NASSCOM predicts that IT-BPM industry will add over 2 lakh net additions and 3.5 lakh digitally skilled employees next year. To continue this momentum of growth the report suggests that the industry should require 1.2 – 2 million employees to meet the next USD 100 billion of revenues. The Top 20 IT-BPM employers list was announced by NASSCOM on the sideline of its annual HR Summit. The two-day event (21-22 July 2016) was attended by 650 participants through nearly 50 sessions taken up by 60 speakers, and workshops.
