Chennai, 14 August 2020: Round D, the 9th Round, of Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2020 is over. COAP provides a common platform for the registered candidates to make the most preferred choice for admission into an MTech in participating institutes such as IITs.

After Round D which is a Decisive Round,  Round E, the last round of COAP,  will be announced depending on vacancies.  On Round D the candidates have two options: Accept and Freeze and Reject and Wait (Reject).

Due to completion of their admissions / lack of vacant seats, the following six Institutes have not participated in Round D:  IISc Bangalore, IIT Bhilai, IIT Bombay, IIT ISM Dhanbad, IIT Jodhpur, and IIT Kharagpur.

Meanwhile, IIT Guwahati has announced schedule for Online Spot Admission for Vacant MTech Seats.  IIT Guwahati  will conduct Online Spot Admission  from 21 to 25 August 2020 (tentative). The institute informed that vacant seats and more Details will be available by 20 August 2020.

IIT Bhubaneswar has already declared the 9th round list of candidates selected with waiting list for admission in to MTech Programme for the year 2020-21.

In the coming days, IITs, where vacant MTech seats are available, will declare their Online Spot Admission for Vacant MTech Seats for AY 2020-21.

However, from COAP portal, it is clear that six institutes have closed their MTech Admission due to filling of seats: IISc Bangalore, IIT Bhilai, IIT Bombay, IIT ISM Dhanbad, IIT Jodhpur, and IIT Kharagpur.
