Eligibility Conditions: Eligibility and selection process is as per UGC notification 5th May 2016 (Minimum standards and procedure for the award of MPhil/PhD degree regulations 2016) and 1st amendment by UGC on 27th Aug 2018 and 2nd amendment on 16th Oct 2018.
Selection Process: Candidates satisfying eligibility criteria will be informed to appear for the Ph.D. entrance test conducted by MIT-WPU as per the UGC guidelines. University may decide separate terms and conditions for Ph.D. entrance test for those students who qualify UGC-NET ( Including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET ( including JRF)/SLET/GATE/Teacher fellowship holder or have passed M. Phil programme.
The PhD entrance test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks as 50% provided that relaxation from 50% to 45% shall be allowed for the candidates belongs to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Differently abled category in the entrance examination conducted by the university.
The syllabus of entrance test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
The interview/viva-voce will be conducted by the university for test qualifying candidates. For the selection of candidates, a weightage of 70% to the entrance test and 30 % to the performance in the interview/Viva-voce shall be given
