New Delhi, 17 September 2021: In India, there are more than 50 Central Universities.In these universities students from anywhere in India can apply as CUs controlled by Government of India.
As on 17 August 2021, there are seven Central Universities which have opened admission for PhD programmes for 2021-22. The total number of PhD seats in these seven universities are expected to be more than 700.

Central University of Tamil Nadu Announces PhD Admission 2021-22 for 26 Subjects
Thiruvarur, 13 September 2021: Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) has announced Admission to PhD programmes for the academic year 2021-22. PhD Admission is available in 26 subjects.
The following candidates can register online for Ph.D. Admission (Regular) and directly appear for an interview:
Candidates who have qualified any national level examinations [such as JRF (UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICMR/ICAR), NET (UGC/CSIR), GATE or equivalent)]
Candidates who have secured any national level fellowships (such as DST-INSPIRE or similar)
Government-sponsored candidates and teacher fellowship holders

Central University of Jharkhand Announces PhD Admission 2021 for 106 Seats
Ranchi, 11 September 2021: Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) has announced Admission to PhD programmes for the academic year 2021-22. The total number of vacant PhD seats are 106 in in 23 Subjects.
Candidates having valid UGC/CSIR/- NET/JRF, ICMR-JRF, GATE etc. certificate may apply online.

Central University of Himachal Pradesh Announces PhD Admission 2021 for 25 Subjects
Dharamshala, 01 September 2021: Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) has announced Admission to PhD programmes for the academic year 2021-22. Central University of Himachal Pradesh is going to conduct Himachal Pradesh Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya Shodh Patrata Pariksha (HPKVSPP-2021) in order to determine the eligibility for admission to Ph.D. Programmes of Study of University.
