As on 07 May 2022, Three NITs which have opened PhD Admission for July 2022. These institutes offer Institute Fellowships with Monthly Fellowships of Rs 31,00 to Regular PhD Scholars.

NIT Trichy Opens PhD Admission July 2022 for 146 Seats with Fellowships
Tiruchirappalli, 27 April 2022: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, Top NIT as per NIRF 2021, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to PhD for July 2022 session.
There are four types of PhD programmes available for admission:
(a) Full-Time: (i) Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA), and (ii) Externally Funded (iii) Non-Stipendiary
(b) Part-Time: In-Service (i) Internal and (ii) External
Total PhD Seats: There are 17 departments offering PhD Programmes. The total number of PhD Seats with Institute Fellowships are 146 (Full Time-Stipendiary Category).
Key Dates & Application Fees: The closing date for submission of online application is 27 May 2022.
NIT Warangal Announces PhD Admission July 2022 with Institute Fellowship
Warangal, 05 May 2022: National Institute of Technology (NIT )Warangal, an Institute of National Importance, has announced PhD Admission for July 2022 session. The PhD Programs, in Full-time (FT) and Part-time (PT) modes, are offered in 13 departments of the institute.
Fellowships: The candidates selected for admission into PhD under Full-Time program are eligible to receive institute fellowship as per Ministry of Education, (former MHRD) rules. Category-wise (EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PWD) reservations on overall available seats will be followed as per Government of India norms.

NIT Silchar Opens PhD Admission with Institute Fellowship for July- Dec 2022 session
Silchar, 06 May 2022: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar, an Institute of National Importance, has released PhD Admission Notification for July- December 2022 session. The PhD programmes are available 11 departments.
PhD Admission is available under Group A and Group B category.
GROUP A: PhD Program – Regular Category who may receive fellowship from the MoE / CSIR/UGC or any other recognized funding agency.
Fellowship: As per MoE / CSIR / UGC guidelines.
GROUP B: Ph.D. Program–No financial assistance or stipend by NIT Silchar will be provided for this GROUP.
