As on 09 March 2024, there are Five Central Universities have announced PhD for 2023-24 Academic Year. The total vacant PhD seats will be more than 1,000.

Central University of Karnataka Opens PhD Admission 2024 for 30 Departments
Gulgarga, 09 April 2024: Central University of Karnataka, has announced PhD Admission for 2023-24 academic years.
The following candidates can register through the online SAMARTH registration portal for Ph.D, Admission and eligible candidates shall directly appear for an interview:
Candidates who have qualified national level examinations [such as JRF (UGC / CSIR / DBT / ICMR / ICSSR), NET (UGC/CSIR). GATE or equivalent etc.)1.
Candidates who hav.e secured DST-INSPIRE Fellowship.
iii. Candidates with Central Government and State Government sponsored fellowships.
National/State level Teacher fellowship holders.
Candidates admitted under various research projects (Fulfilling any of the above
points-(i) to (iv)).

Bilaspur, 08 April 2024: Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, a Central University, has announced PhD Admission for 2023-24 Through Direct Mode under VRET- Exempted Category.
Any eligible candidate possessing NET JRF/GATE etc. / working professionals/staff/international students may apply under VRET Exempted category for direct interview.

Central University of Jharkhand Announces PhD Admission 2024 for 174 Seats
Ranchi, 24 March 2024: Central University of Jharkhand has announced PhD Admission for 2023-24.
Total Vacant Seats: The total number of vacant seats are 113 in 19 departments.

Tezpur University Announces PhD Admission 2024-25 for 30 Departments
Tezpur, 03 April 2024: Tezpur University, a Central University, has announced PhD Admission for Academic Year 2024-25. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Tezpur University Entrance Examination [on (TUEE) 2024 followed by Personal Interview (PI).
Candidates qualified in the UGC NET-JRF/ UGC-CSIR NET-JRF, UGC/CSIR NET (LS)/ SLET (LS), GATE and M.Phil degree holders need not appear in the written test; however, such candidates shall appear in the personal interview.

University of Delhi Announces PhD Admission Phase III for 2023-24
New Delhi, 03 April 2024: University of Delhi, a Central University, has announced admission to its Ph.D. programmes Phase III for 2023-24. PhD Admissions are available in Departments of Faculty of Science.
