New Delhi, 30 September 2024: In India there are more than 50 Central Universities, which are controlled by Govt of India.
As on 30 September 2024, there are two Central Universities have announced PhD for 2024-25 Academic Year. The total number of vacant seats are expected to be more than 350 seats.

Central University of Himachal Pradesh Opens PhD Admission 2024-25 for 30 Departments
Shimla, 29 September 2024: Central University of Himachal Pradesh is going to conduct Himachal Pradesh Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya Shodh Patrata Pariksha (HPKVSPP-2023) in order to determine the eligibility for admission to PhD Programmes of Study of University.
Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have Passed with 55% marks (before date of notification) in PG examination in the concerned subject. (For SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/Divyang candidates there will be relaxation of 5% marks).

North-Eastern Hill University Shillong Announces PhD Admission AY 2024-25 for 45 Departments
Shillong, Meghalaya, 20 August 2023: North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, a Central University in Meghalaya, has released PhD Admission Notification for Academic Year 2024-25. PhD Admission is available for more than 40 departments in its Shillong and Tura campuses.
How to Apply and Application Fee: Students applying courses/programmes in Shillong as well in Tura Campus are requested to apply online on payment of Rs.500/- and Rs.250/- (for SC/ST category) and the payment will be online using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking through SBI and HDFC Bank.
Key Dates: The last date for submission of application form for PhD Programme is 30 September 2024.
