Dublin:  Shaw Academy the world’s largest live online educator and Grofers, India’s biggest on demand online grocery delivery service have combined to bring education to Indian consumers. The agreement will give Grofers subscribers access to a range of free educational courses from Shaw Academy including subjects directly related to purchases such as Nutrition and Health & Fitness.

Grofers, founded in 2013 have over four million customers and offer a wide assortment of groceries, cosmetics, and electronics online that are delivered straight to your door. Operating across eighteen cities in India, users ordering through the app have access to a huge selection of everyday goods. The partnership with Shaw Academy will allow online subscribers access to a free four-week course aimed at building practical skills and be promoted extensively across the Grofer user base.

Shaw Academy whom to date have taught over three million students worldwide partner with e-commerce players globally harnessing live education as a value addition. Current clients include Adobe and the world’s largest domain provider, GoDaddy. By offering directly relevant subjects such as photography to Adobe customers and web development to GoDaddy subscribers, Shaw Academy support new customer acquisition, build loyalty, increase revenue via upsells and boost NPS scores.

Shaw Academy courses are delivered live online enabling the most up to date content and trends to be covered. This lets students to interact in real time with educators allowing questions to be submitted and answered which greatly enhances completion rates. The wide range of subjects available from Shaw Academy also ensure mass audience appeal. Courses are designed to upskill students, considering a busy lifestyle making it an ideal fit for Grofers.
