New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the Civil Service Preliminary Examination 2017 on 18 June 2017. This year the number is expected to cross 12 lakhs. The number of candidates who registered for UPSC Prelims last year was approximately 11.36 lakh.

The Preliminary Examination consisted of two objective type papers carrying a maximum of 400 marks. The exam was conducted in two phases with the first paper held at 9:30 AM and the second at 2:30 PM. Each paper was 2 hours long.

The Commission will release the official answer key in 2018 after the final selection announcement. The candidates, however, seek answers right after their exam. For this, NeoStencil a leading Civil Services Exam coaching institute, in association with its partner teachers comes out with a detailed answer key every year.

Candidates can cross-check correct options with help of the answer key prepared by NeoStencil and analyse their options as marked during the examination. “Naturally, all candidates who appeared for the Preliminary Examination are curious to know the correct answers and the expected cut off soon after the exam. Since we work with multiple expert partner institutes, we are able to come out with a very accurate answer key in a very short span,” says Kush Beejal, COO of NeoStencil .

IAS Prelims 2017 answers provided by NeoStencil team gives references for every question that would help students confirm their answers further as well as glance through the concept behind the correct option.

The above approach brings NeoStencil’s answer key to the same level as the official answer key which will be released much later. Moreover, the cut-offs NeoStencil predicts are closer to the UPSC cut off, which are helpful to the students for the Mains preparation or for further course of action.

The added advantage provided is that students preparing in any subsequent year can utilise the answer keys and the references for more comprehensive preparation.

The Civil Services Exam serves as a platform for various administrative services positions such as IAS, IFS, IRS and IPS.

The mains exam this year will be held in 28th October, 2017.
