Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh: Apex Professional University (APU), Pasighat announced the online entrance test (TREAT) dates of PhD and MPhil programmes for August 2018 session in regular mode. APU will conduct a national-level online entrance test on June 28 in selected examination centers across the country to select the candidates for PhD and MPhil programmes in full-time and part-time mode.

“As per official notification released by APU, the candidates who wish to appear for the online Entrance Test can submit their application on or before June 20, 2018. The entrance test will be of 100 marks (50 questions of two marks each with multiple choices). Candidates will qualify if they score 50% marks or more,” said Dr R. Saikia, Dean (Research) of the Apex Professional University.

How to Apply & Key Dates: The candidates who are willing to appear for the Ph.D. entrance test 2018 are required to apply online for the examination in the official website – http://www.apexuniversity.ac.in. The closing date for submission of application is 20 June 2018.

After the publication of entrance test results, all applicants will be called for an interview on 15 July, 2018 and the final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in the written examination and the interview subject to the availability of vacancies under the qualified supervisors.

As per UGC regulations, candidates having a valid SET or NET score or M.Phil. degree are exempted from taking the entrance test as per notification of the University. Selected research scholars will be eligible for an APU Fellowship of Rs. 12,500 per month from the University.

The entrance test is being held for full-time and part-time M.Phil. Degree in Law, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, Geography, History, Social Work, Library and Information Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Physics.

APU is focusing on full-time and part-time Ph.D. Degree in Law, English, Economics, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, Library and Information Science, Political Science, Public Administration, History, Women’s Studies, Geography, Statistics, Environmental Studies, Management, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Commerce, Education, Social Work, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology and Mathematics.

Students can also pursue Ph.D.s at APU in the Vedic subjects like Astrology and Vastu Shashtra as well as in Yoga and Naturopathy.

Vice Chancellor Prof. J N Das said, “The PhD admission procedure has been drawn up according to the UGC guidelines. We have put the necessary infrastructure and lab in place for research activities.”

“Since we have faculty members with us who can act as research guides, we have decided to take in research scholars,” said Acharya Dhanwant Singh, Chancellor of the University.
