Dehradun: Indian Institute Of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, a constituent unit of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has released Admission Notification for Academic Year 2020-21.

The Following Courses are available for Admission 2020-21: MTech Course in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System – 40 seats; Post-Graduate Diploma In Remote Sensing & Gis With Specialization -48 Seats;  MSc in Geo-information Science & Earth Observation with specialization in Geoinformatics -10 seats;  Post-Graduate Diploma in Geoinformation Science & Earth Observation with specialization in Geoinformatics -10 seats; Others and Certificate Courses.

Key Dates:  The closing date for submission of application is 27 March 2020.

MTech Course in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System:  The course is of 2 years duration, comprising of four semesters. M.Tech. degree is presently awarded by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (India).

Specializations: Agriculture & Soils, Forest Resources & Ecosystem Analysis, Geosciences, Natural Hazards & Disaster Risk Management, Urban & Regional Studies, Marine & Atmospheric Sciences, Satellite Image Analysis & Photogrammetry, Water Resources, and Geoinformatics.

The aim of the M.Tech. (RS&GIS) course is to provide in-depth understanding of remote sensing, satellite image analysis, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies and their applications in natural resources survey and monitoring including agriculture and soils, forestry and ecology, geology and mineral resources, water resources, coastal and marine resources, urban and regional planning, atmospheric studies and disaster management.
