Allahabad: Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Allahabad, a part of NIT Group of institutes, has released PhD Admission Notification for 2018-2019. The PhD programmes are available in following categories: Institute Stipendiary Full Time Research Scholar; Self-financed Full- Time Research Scholar; Sponsored Full- Time Research Scholar; and Faculty/Staff/Sponsored Project Fellow of MNIT Allahabad Part-Time Research Scholar.
The total number of vacant PhD seats are 148 seats. Out of these 92 seats for Institute Stipendiary Full Time Research Scholar category PhD.
Key Dates: The closing date for submission of application is 27 May 2018 ( Up to Mid Night) . The closing date for receipt of the printed and signed application form is 31 May 2018 (up to 5:30 PM).
Application fee is Rs 1200/- for OPEN and OBC-NC candidates for each programme. For SC/STcategory admission fee is Rs 600.00 for each programme.

Eligibility for Admission:
PhD in Engineering-The applicant with a Master degree in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology with marks not below 60% or CPI 6.5.
PhD in Management-Applicant with a Master’s Degree in Management/Technology/ Engineering/ Economics/ Commerce /Science / Computer Applications/Social Science with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI 6.5.
PhD in Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS)– Applicant with a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 60% Marks or CPI 6.5.
PhD in Geographic Information System (GIS) Cell-Applicant with M.Tech. or equivalent degree in GIS & Remote Sensing/Civil Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering/ Electronics/Information Technology/Agriculture Engineering/Mining Engineering with minimum marks 60% or CPI 6.5.
