Kolkata, 17th September, 2019: Waymark Invincible Foundation, set up by IIM Calcutta alumnus Jayanta Ghosh has partnered with Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti, working on women and youth empowerment to launch a programme “Life skill training and development”. The main objective of the programme is to create a bridge of understanding the need for career awareness and the life skill required towards employability. Rural youth from across West Bengal will be skilled under this programme with special focus on women empowerment.
The participants will be trained on various life skills like Creativity, Cognitive Skills, Leadership skills, Emotional Skills, Social & Civic Engagement etc after the completion of the programme students and skill seekers will be matched to high employment jobs in sales, retail, construction, hospitality services, emerging roles. With skills in hand, it gives students an opportunity to expose their intelligence to the world and unleash their full potential.
With more than 50% of India’s population is expected to be in the rural area by 2050 and major workforce coming from rural area, and there is an urgency to rethink career options with Proper Skill of rural youth is paramount.
In order to address this concern, Waymark has signed an MOU with Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti, to ensure that access to quality skilled workforce will continue to increase and improve. By providing Career counselling & Skill Development to make right decision what to choose to get relevant career and jobs.
