Guwahati : The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Assam down town University (Adtu) last week organized a webinar on “Excellence in Higher Education System: Role of Rankings and Benchmarking”.
Prof. (Dr.) AKM Fazlul Haque, the Director of IQAC, Daffodil International University, Bangladesh was invited as Resource Person to give speak on the Higher Education System. In his speech, Dr. Haque shared his views on role of rankings and benchmarking in higher education system, and also showcased Daffodil International University’s rank in different rankings.
He also talked about how rankings became an effective tool of measuring institutional excellence and explained the impact of rankings and benchmarking on the various stakeholders, i.e, students, academics/faculty, researchers, Administration and parents.
Dr. Haque also discussed about sustainable higher education, its future and improvement of the quality of education.
The webinar was chaired by Prof. Manashi Sengupta, Dean(i/c), IQAC, AdtU while Mr. Purba Prasad Borah, Deputy Director of IQAC, AdtU was the convenor of the webinar. The webinar was moderated by Ms. Deepali Borthakur, Academic Officer of AdtU.
