Guwahati :  Assam down town University’s  Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation cell – down town Venture Labs – had entered into an MoU with MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) for implementation of the TIDE 2.0 (Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs) scheme. As part of the implementation framework, Assam down town University (AdtU) is all set to organise  TIDE 2.0 IDEATHON on March 23 and 24, 2021 with the objective to promote tech startups of Assam and the northeastern region. The event is being organised in association with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, Assam Startup-The Nest and is sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt of India.

Individual innovators and startups can participate in the event by visiting www.adtu.in and register by providing a detailed synopsis about their innovation/Business plan/Model in pdf format and a presentation in .ppt/.pptx format which is non-mandatory. Last date for submitting applications is March 20. An expert committee shall examine the proposals and those shortlisted after screening and evaluation shall be called for participating in TIDE 2.0 IDEATHON for the final pitch presentation.

It may be mentioned here that Assam down town University is the only university in the northeastern region to have been selected for the scheme, among a number of higher educational institutes all over India.

“We believe this will go a long way in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among youths and provide an excellent opportunity for innovators and nascent stage Startups to showcase their mettle and take their innovation and business idea to the next level” informed the organisers.
