New Delhi: Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir, recognized as one of the best schools in East Delhi, recently held a two-day workshop aimed at empowering teachers with innovative methods to foster critical and creative thinking among students. Esteemed educators Dr. Rohit Mehra and Sunita Singh led the sessions, sharing their expertise and insights.
Throughout the event, experts highlighted multiple methods for increasing student skill levels. To help students become better at solving problems and making decisions, teachers were trained to focus on the need to encourage students to understand, analyze, and apply knowledge in new ways. Providing students with an extensive awareness of their subjects is the goal of this approach.
Another important point addressed was the difference between brainstorming and lateral thinking. Whereas lateral thinking involves looking at issues from unique angles, brainstorming promotes the open exchange of ideas. The success of both methods as instruments for producing creative solutions was shown.
One of the workshop’s highlights was a collaborative exercise where participants developed lesson plans incorporating the concept of trees across various subjects. This practical activity allowed teachers to apply the principles of critical and creative thinking in a hands-on manner.
Pratibha Sharma, Academic Director of Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir, said, “The innovative teaching workshop was a transformative experience for our educators. It provided them with practical tools to enhance critical and creative thinking skills in our students. Our goal is to continually enhance our teaching methodologies to ensure our students receive the highest quality education, reinforcing our reputation as a top school in East Delhi.”
