India:In a groundbreaking move, Hiranandani Upscale School is breaking the silence on LGBTQ+ issues in Indian educational institutions. While many schools avoid discussions on sexuality, Hiranandani Upscale School boldly organised workshops, sparking essential conversations on LGBTQ+ inclusion.
The event, attended by the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, and students, showcased the school’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. Partnering with Humsafar, an NGO dedicated to LGBTQ+ advocacy, Hiranandani Upscale School hosted sessions simultaneously in the classrooms challenging myths and stereotypes.
Mr. Sivakumar Srinivasan, Director of Hiranandani Upscale School, emphasized the institution’s dedication to creating a safe and informed community, stating, “Our commitment to fostering inclusivity and understanding through enlightening sessions on LGBTQ+ issues is unwavering.
