New Delhi : Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launched the “Employability Skills Enhancement Program for Polytechnic Students, at AICTE HQ, in New Delhi today. This remarkable initiative is the result of a collaborative effort between the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Wadhwani Foundation.
The event was graced with the august presence of Shri Sanjay Murthy IAS, Secretary Higher Education, Shri Sanjay Kumar IAS, Secretary School Education, Shri Atul Tiwari IAS, Secretary Ministry of Skill Development, Prof T G Sitharam, Chairman AICTE, Prof Jagadeesh Kumar, Chairman UGC and Shri NS Khalsi IAS, Chairman NCVET.
The programme covers modules pertaining to Effective Speaking and Listening skills, impactful writing skills, Self-Presentation, Interpersonal skills, Problem Solving and Innovation, Professionalism and Financial Literacy.
The primary objective of Employability Skills Enhancement Program is to equip polytechnic students with essential skills to enhance their future careers. It emphasizes practical experience and the establishment of a strong foundation for a prosperous professional journey. In the academic year 2023-24, the program sets ambitious goals to upskill 10,000 students and mentor 500 faculty members, contributing significantly to the enhancement of employability in the nation’s polytechnic community.
