New Delhi : The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) recently played host to the sixth edition of the InnoHEALTH conference, the flagship annual international event of InnovatioCuris. The conference marked another successful chapter in the ongoing journey to revolutionize healthcare through innovation.
InnoHEALTH 2023 witnessed an impressive turnout, building on the legacy of its past editions, with over 50 sessions and 300+ speakers. The event brought together a diverse community of over 2500 participants, including healthcare professionals, innovators, and industry experts, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange. The support of over 100 partners further underlined the shared commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation.
The conference agenda was rich and diverse, featuring insightful sessions, workshops, and talks by luminaries in the field. Highlights included a pre-conference workshop on “Generative AI in Healthcare” and an inaugural session featuring thought leaders from IIIT Delhi, InnovatioCuris, and esteemed guests from the healthcare industry. The conference also saw launch of a clinical validation center by Plexus Med Care to support medical startups to get early feedback on their technologies.
Key sessions covered a wide range of topics, from digital health implementation and case studies to clinical validation of AI. OneHealth and Climate Change, Digital Health Services for Non-Communicable Diseases/Preventive Healthcare, and discussions on reimagining healthcare delivery were among the thought-provoking themes explored.
InnoHEALTH 2023, hosted by IIIT-Delhi, featured an illustrious lineup of speakers who are luminaries in their respective fields, contributing significantly to the discourse on healthcare innovation. Among the distinguished speakers were Dr. Malkeet Singh, Senior HTA Specialist at the National Health Authority (NHA), Rebecca von Schreeb from the Swedish Embassy and Dr. Upasana Arora, Managing Director of Yashoda Super Specialty Hospitals, Ghaziabad. Dr. Vijay Agarwal, President of the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), added his insights alongside industry visionaries like Henrik Uddén, CEO & Co-Founder of SmartCare Analytica AB, and Amarjeet Singh Cheema, Digital Health Expert & Associate Director at the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). Co-Founder of Yugasa Software Labs Pvt Ltd, Vivek Mittal, and CMO of CARPL.ai, Dr. Vasanth Venugopal, shared their expertise. The event also welcomed thought leaders such as Dr. Rajiv Kumar Pathni, Founder, and Director of Praar Consulting, and Dr. Vishnuvardhan Pogunulu Srinivasulu, Scientist and Chief Data Officer at the Indian Council of Medical Research. Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President of Amity Science, Technology & Innovation Foundation (ASTIF), and Director General of Amity Directorate of Science & Innovation, brought valuable insights, joined by the organizing committee member, Dr. Tavpritesh Sethi, Associate Professor at IIIT Delhi. Posters were showcased by members of IIIT-Delhi’s Center of Excellence in Healthcare and the AI/ML for Healthcare theme of the Delhi Science and Technology Cluster, DRIIV, led by IIIT-Delhi.
A significant aspect of InnoHEALTH 2023 was the Young Innovator’s Award, recognizing and encouraging young minds in healthcare and innovation. The theme for this year, “Clinical Validation of Emerging Technologies,” showcased the commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in healthcare.
The esteemed jury, consisting of industry experts and professionals, evaluated shortlisted candidates during the conference, offering them a valuable platform to present their innovations to an international gathering of healthcare experts, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders.
