Gurugram : KIIT World School, Sohna Road was felicitated with the National Swachh Vidyalaya Puruskar organized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India at Akashvani Rang Bhawan, All India Radio, New Delhi. Minister of State of education, Subhas Sarkar conferred the award to the school headmistress Rashmi Shrivastava and Swachhata monitor, Mayank Diwakar. The occasion also witnessed the eminent presence of Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State of education. The school got recognized in the category of clean toilets.
The Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India first launched the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar in 2016 to recognise and inspire the schools that have made outstanding contributions to the areas of water, sanitation and hygiene while also giving schools a baseline and a guide for future improvement. KIIT World School is the only one in the entire Haryana state to be recognized for having clean toilets.
