Gurugram: KIIT World School, Sohna Road will be felicitated with the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar organized by Govt. of India. The school will be awarded for maintaining clean toilets. The award will be conferred by Hon’ble Minister of Education on Nov 19th, 2022.
The Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India first introduced the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar in 2016 to recognise, inspire, and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene practices in elementary and secondary schools. KIIT World School is the only one in entire Haryana to be recognized for having clean toilets.
Speaking on this, Neelima Kamrah, Principal of KIIT World School said, “It’s an extreme honour for the entire KIIT family to get selected for this prestigious award. The school chairman believes that cleanliness is next to godliness. He not only believes in Gandhian philosophy but his life is an example of that too. We are enhancing our efforts to make schools hygienic and clean for students. Students and teachers are actively participating in maintaining school sanitation.”
